Hello @hnorthway,
When I click play, the duration loads in the player. This is normal behavior. The duration in the player is set upon clicking play.
There is an option to display the duration below the player with the player and links, you can enable that in PowerPress settings > Website tab. Option you want is “Include file size and duration”.
Thanks,
Angelo
Sorry, I don’t have tabs in my PowerPress/settings area, it’s just a long list of items. The player loads from the center rather than from left to right, to be more specific. But I would also like that time displayed, that would be nice.

You can reveal the tabs in PowerPress settings by:
1.) Clicking the PowerPress link in the lefthand sidebar of your WordPress dashboard
2.) Clicking the Advanced Mode button at the top of the next page
This didn’t work for me. The issues still persists.

The player on the page linked here:

Shows the duration time under the player of 39:07. This is how it’s supposed to work. The playback time can not show up in the player itself until the play button is pressed.
Please, why is it loading in the center, and moving out? It should be from left to right?

It looks like you’re using the MediaElement.js player, which is the default media player that is built into WordPress. The developer of your theme may have added some custom CSS to the player to create the loading animation.
This site is also using the MediaElement.js player in its default configuration, and as you can see, the loading animation is different:

This kind of thing can be customized thru the player’s CSS files. If you’re unhappy with it, you should contact the theme developer for support.
