Player breaks with certain m3u8

Love the player. Have “sample channels” set up on our website for our IPTV service using your plugin. However, whenever a path to a m3u8 has a hyphen (-) or an underscore (_) in it, the player breaks. Unfortunately I cannot change the paths to exclude these special characters. I tried using url encoded characters like %5F to make an underscore for example but that does not work either. Is there an easy fix for that?
