played with changing theme and lost all my content and pages

    i am new to wordpress and not at all techie but i have a site i went into the admin panel to update some info and i saw options to change theme appearance so i tried it and when i did, i seem tohave lost all my content and pages and everything… so i changed back to the original theme hoping it would all come back but it didnt… can someone help me find it and get it back somehow? or is it lost forever?
