Hi @rmagrini,
adding locally hosted videos is a features of the PRO version of the plugin.
I haven’t tried to call in a video from Google drive but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work π
Best,
David
Hi @davidvongries
with google drive I’ve a problem…. I don’t see to play the video, while with vimeo using the code
[wp-video-popup video=src="https://vimeo.com/508546323/XXXXXXXXXX]
I see another video this https://youtu.be/YlUKcNNmywk,
while via that
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/XXXXXXXX" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
the video is correct
inserting the following code as shortcode in a block inside a columns with a button, that doesnt’ work
here is the of test image
The vimeo link doesn’t seem correct.
Why are there a bunch of X’s in there?
hi @davidvongries
just because it’s a customers video and I don’t want that anyone ca download it. Anyway I’ve also used this code
[wp-video-popup video=src=”https://vimeo.com/508537608″%5D
but I continue to view an youtube video this: https://youtu.be/YlUKcNNmywk
thanks
The quotation marks & parts of the shortcode are incorrect.
Notice how you’ve typed video=src=
.
Also, the shortcode is not closed properly.
Please try this instead:
[wp-video-popup video="https://vimeo.com/508537608"]
Best,
David
@davidvongries
yes man…now thats works.
Just last think, to have more videos and each one with a button for the popup which the procedure to make??
thanks a lot
Awesome,
glad it’s working now! π
The shortcode/setup with multiple videos on the same page is a bit different. It’s explained in detail on our documentation – https://wp-video-popup.com/docs/pro/
hi @davidvongries
I’ll try the multiple videos in a second time, at moment I’ve bought the pro version but I’ve a problem with vimeo.
So I’ve set the video in private mode and its embedded link is a bit different:
https://vimeo.com/508546XXX/5589f0XXXX
in the shortcode I’ve used that
[wp-video-popup id="video2" video="https://vimeo.com/508546XXX/5589f0XXXX"]
but I obtained this issue, while if the embed code without button any problems….
how can resolve that? thanks a lot

Private videos can’t currently be supported unfortunately.
Hi @rmagrini,
I’ve just added this to our internal roadmap π
I think it’d be great to support private videos as well.
