I’ve been using the “Insert/edit link” functionality within the text editor to add links to my pages. Specifically I have either pasted in an HTML link or I’ve selected from the “Or link to existing content” option.

The second option automatically pastes in a plaintext link (example: /business/lending/writing-an-effective-business-plan/). I’ve noticed that if I make a change to a web page title that is referenced within the breadcrumbs (example changing the Lending header to Loans) the link is now broken but is not reported by the Broken Link Checker because it has been installed as a plaintext link.

I’m confused what the best solution to this issue would be. Does anyone know of a plugin that would scan for plaintext internal site links OR a hack to force all plaintext links to read as html links?

    Thank you for your time!
