[Resolved] Plain Text Menu Loading Before Theme

  • Hi. I am using the Melville theme and wasn’t pleased with the fact that the only menu navigation was at the bottom of the page where most visitors may never even see it. So I decided to duplicate it at the top of the page. Now I am having a problem with the menu briefly loading in plain text to the left of the page before the actual theme loads. Can anyone help me figure out a way to stop this from happening? Thanks in advance!

  • When this happens, it’s best to load the stylesheet as soon as possible. So try to include the style.css near the top of the children from the <head> element.

Thank you so much! I moved it to just before the </head> tag and I think it’s fixed now. I thought I was going to have to either live with it loading that way or remove it! Again, thank you! 🙂
