# Plain text editor

 * Does anyone have a recommendation for a text editor that works in absolute plain
   text, similar to notepad++, html kit etc, for wordpress. I write in code and 
   find it frustrating that wordpress adds <p></p> where I need a 
    etc. I can find
   a million WYSIWYG editors but I really need to get hold of a plain text editor
   to replace the built in version. Any ideas please?

 * Hi James, sorry, I meant an editor to use as a plug-in inside wordpress that 
   doesn’t format the document incorrectly even when in html mode. Thanks
