I have been trying to place a banner ad on all posts for my website. I want to place the ad above the post title but below the page header. Unfortunately I can only seem to place the ad above the page header or below the post title. I’ve linked to an example post for reference.

    Please help!

    Hi Niraj Naik,

    thanks for reaching out.

You can use the “Above Headline” placement as an option in Advanced Ads Pro or edit your theme files (probably the single.php) and add the ad function (the_ad( AD_ID )) or a manual placement code (the_ad_placement( PLACEMENT_ID )) above the headline there.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I tried updating the theme files but am still running into difficulty? I’ve linked to a screenshot of my CSS editor. Am I doing this correctly?

    Hi Niraj,

your code misses the <?php ?> tags. You can get full examples from https://wpadvancedads.com/codex/theme-functions/. I would suggest you use also the function_exists() check as you can find it there.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Thomas,

I got the ad to show up but the page is still displaying the ad below the title. When I delete the old ad, it also deletes the new ad. Is there a way to turn off the old ad, without deleting it altogether? Also, how can I center the new ad? I’ve linked an example post.

Thanks so much for your help so far!

    Hi Niraj,

    thanks for your feedback.

Please remove any old code or existing placement (Advanced Ads > Placements) if you see the same ad somewhere else.

    > Also, how can I center the new ad?

Did you try the “Position” setting on the ad edit screen? It contains an option to center the ad. Please disable the “Wizard” on the ad edit screen to see all options.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Thomas,

I was able to remove the ad and center it with your suggestions. Thanks so much! You are the best!

Thank you. Would you mind saying it here?
