Hey all. I must have done something wrong here but can’t work out what. I’ve installed wordpress locally into the mamp environment. It’s installed into the folder /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress. I’ve setup a database called wordpress from phpMyAdmin and set the mamp disk location to /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress. When I type http://localhost/ into my browser I get the placeholder page. I had to manually type http://localhost/wp-admin/ to setup wordpress since it didn’t redirect from localhost. I can use this address (wp-admin) to make changes to my blog but when I hit ‘visit site’ to preview my changes I get the placeholder page. Any ideas? thanks 🙂 Also, I don’t have an index.html file which i’ve read on other forums, just a single index.php
