should just be able to grab another one…hmmmmm not sure why only one is being allowed for you.

would much appreaciate if someone could explain how to add the same widget more than once. I’m making a website which runs in 6 different languages, so I need to have 6 different widgets.

Hi I have the same issue… did you ever solve this?

    Plugin Contributor Richard Leishman

    (@webfwd)

When I wrote the plugin I designed it in a way so that it would only support one instance of the widget being used (foolish of me).

I have since wrote the code ready to allow Mail Subscribe List widget to be displayed on multiple widget areas but the problem I have is that if I change the code it will mess up sites that currently use the widget as the new widget code works completely different.

    Thanks for fast reply.

Couldn’t you release it as a second “separate” widget and promote all new users to use that one?

I am yet to launch my site so it would be no issue for me

    Cheers

    Hi,

Yes would it be possible to release a “multi-widget” version please? I use the Studiopress themes which have a lot of widgetized areas, some homepage only, therefore need the option to add at least two widgets for this plugin?

    Thank you,
    Peter.

I need a solution for this too!

Yes, me too – I installed this wonderful plugin today, tested it with one of my sidebars, changed the configuration and played around … when it had the perfect look I wanted to insert the widget in my other sidebars, but it wasn’t possible!
I had to deactivate the plugin and am looking for another solution now. However, I’d be glad to use this one any time.
Thanks for the great work anyway. It’s an awesome plugin.

Just installed this last night and will un-installing it just as fast.

Without supporting multiple widgets it is limited from being able to appear on custom home pages, and custom footers.. you can place it on a blog page widget and that’s it.

“Simple Subscribe Mail” allows multiple placement of subscribe forms so looks like I will have to use that.

    Hello!
I have solved this problem as follows:
    One. I edited “mail-subscribe-list/sml.php” as I wanted.
Two. For the page I wanted to have widget “Subscribers” we introduced [smlsubform] in a text widget.
The result was exactly like the set in single widget.
    Here’s the proof!

Richard Leishman, can you please just release the code or another plugin and let people with the other version use that if they want. This is a feature that many people want and I think it would be better to have the ability to display multiple widgets rather than just the one. If you don’t want to submit another plugin can you just put the new sml.php page up so those who want it can use it?

    thanks,
    -brad
