 * Each new post I make has an annoying image called pix.gif, and although it is
transparent, on page load I can see the space it takes up, and it will move my
starting text over to the right.
The image source is from [http://use.perl.org/images/pix.gif](http://use.perl.org/images/pix.gif)
I cannot find anywhere in the editor to remove this image. This was never on
my blog before, but seems to exist now. Any ideas how I can remove it. Using
WP3,0 and a theme Pixeled 1.9.2 I can give the link to blog if required.

 * Are you using WordPress’ built-in avatar functions or any gravatar plugins? That
particular image is a common substitute for blank gravatars in several plugins
   and themes.
 * The image itself is only 1×1 pixels, so it shouldn’t be taking up much space
   at all.
