# Pixelated BG Image

 * Why does the BG image become pixelated and grainy looking? I am using a 1920 
   x 1200 image [@72dpi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/72dpi/) converted from
   a 300dpi original. The 72 dpi displays with sharp clarity on any monitor I test
   it on, but when applied as a BG is looks awful. Is there a reason for this? The
   attached SS is from the preview mode, but it looks the same on the site [http://www.gamersforfreespeech.org](http://www.gamersforfreespeech.org)
   and it currently active there for you to see.

 * Looks like you selected medium when you inserted the image. Here’s the image.

 * Wow, totally awesome man, you rock! I don’t do much with the media library but
   I do enough where I should have noticed that option. I’ve never had issues with
   images before, but I will be sure to check the size going forward. User error,
   perhaps the single most troublesome area for designers lol. Thanks for being 
   such an excellent coder and for providing fast service for a free product. The
   site looks awesome now!
