Support » Plugin: Pixel Cat - Conversion Pixel Manager » Pixel Stopped Working for 3 Weeks

My Facebook Pixel stopped recording all users from the USA (majority) from December 31st to Jan 24th. The users data on facebook shows daily user count going from 200 to 20 during this period. Since then it has recovered to 80% of its original baseline value. Do you know what may have caused this?

I’m currently worried that this is due to pixel cat as it is implemented on my site and am considering inputting the pixel manually into the site.

    Hello @macierejro

Thanks for reaching out. Can you please tell us if you are using any variable products?

We think this is related to a known issue that is still under investigation. It usually affect variable products.

Please get back to us with this information, and we will see how we can help from there.

    Regards

I’m not sure what a variable product is. We currently do not have a product catalog setup on our website.

Hello. Sorry for the delay in response.

If that is not the cause of the issue, we are not sure what it could be.

All Pixel Cat does is install the pixel for you. Exactly the same as if you did it yourself.

It is not running the pixel in any dynamic way where it could work sometimes and not others. It;s either installed the pixel, and it’s working, or it hasn’t. You either get data or or don’t. There’s no in-between here.

There is no reason to believe the data is inaccurate right now. It’s best to have multiple ways to track these things so you can compare them against one another. I would suggest also having Google Analytics setup for this.

Wish we could help further in this case, but there is simply no way for Pixel Cat to cause you to get an incorrect amount of view events.
