Support » Fixing WordPress » Pixel blocks and block outlines showing up on pages

  • First of all – I’m a newbie, older, and not tech savvy. I don’t know coding or css or whatever it’s called.

So – my pages were loading fine, and then I got Yoast, to help me streamline things and hopefully improve my SEO. It seems ever since then, things have changed, and not all for the better. It changed my permalink settings to ones more SEO friendly, so that was good.

But when I recently accessed my site (not as an admin), all but my intro page had a 404 error. I found a YouTube video and followed the directions to simply “save changes” under the permalink setting, and I was able to load the pages.

BUT – now all of my pages have a block around the text paragraphs when I scroll over them, and I am also seeing my spacer blocks outlined, with the pixel size indicated inside. Plus the photo button doesn’t work – I have to click on the link below it (which is also shown!)

I tried publishing a page and checked again – no change.

Any suggestions? (kindly remember to keep it as simple as possible – many thanks!)
