Pinterest Save Button breaks after cache is rebuilt

Hello,

For some time now I’ve noticed that the Pinterest plugin/button that allows visitors to save (Pin) images from my website doesn’t display correctly.

If I completely purge the LiteSpeed Cache, the Pinterest button works normally for a while and is displayed correctly. However, after some time, it starts displaying incorrectly again, and when this happens, the button doesn’t work at all.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?

Is there any LiteSpeed Cache setting that could be causing this behavior, or is there something I should exclude from caching?

Hi,

I already applied everything you mentioned and removed everything as instructed.

The only thing I can’t find is the “Run the Queue” button. Which option or section is it under?

I also updated the plugin since I noticed today’s update was available.

At the moment, the button looks good, but I wasn’t able to run the queue you mentioned because I can’t find that button.

Also, does the UCSS Selector Allowlist you asked me to add apply to mobile as well?

It looks like I’ve reached the daily quota. My website has around 1,400 posts, so I guess that might be why.

Currently UCSS is not generated on the page(you can see in page source, right at the end: UCSS in queue )
That is the reason why the page is looking ok.
Please take a look tomorrow, or check other pages that have been created

It’s still happening, although now the Pinterest button looks different. It’s still broken, but it has a different incorrect appearance.

Would it be better to disable UCSS to avoid these issues altogether?

If so, which settings should I disable or change to make sure everything works correctly without UCSS?

@juanwp22 if you want yes, you can disable UCSS
You also gave Guest Mode ON, which is OK for Google speed

Thanks! I’ve now disabled Generate UCSS, purged all caches, and started with a clean cache.

Let’s wait a few days and see if the Pinterest button breaks again. Hopefully, this resolves the issue.

Just an update: unfortunately, the issue is still happening even with Generate UCSS disabled and all caches purged.

The Pinterest button is broken again on the example post. 😕

That’s bad news

Let’s try this:
Leave UCSS disabled
Add wp-content/plugins/social-pug/assets/dist/front-end-pro.js to https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/pageopt/#js-excludes
Purge CSS/JS and Purge All

Then we will see what happens

Done! I’ve added wp-content/plugins/social-pug/assets/dist/front-end-pro.js to the JS Excludes list, left UCSS disabled, and purged CSS/JS as well as all caches.

Let’s see what happens over the next few hours. Thanks for your help!

Well, after applying the changes, several days have passed and I didn’t reply sooner because I wanted to monitor the site and make sure the issue was really gone.

I’m happy to say that the Pinterest button hasn’t broken again! So it looks like the issue was indeed caused by that JavaScript file being optimized.
