Theoretically speaking, it’s possible that lazy loaded images wouldn’t be correcty detected by that extension but to be sure about this – the simplest way to confirm would be to simply disable lazy load feature in the plugin and test it (you can always enable it back).
That said, I tested it on my test site and, assuming I used the very same extension, it worked fine for me even with lazy load enabled but not with all types of images.
I noticed that lower down the page (below the fold) on the page in question the images are in SVG format and when I uploaded SVGs to my own test setup Pin button didn’t work for them even without lazy load. I think this extension may simply not be able to deal with SVG files in this case. But please do test it – by disabling Lazy Load and clearing all cache; if you have the same results it means it means that the browser extension cannot handle such images and Smush/Lazy Load is not related to it.

I too thought SVG format might be the issue but a few SVG images are being pinned successfully by the extension.
I noticed 1 or 2 support threads on this topic but were closed due to inactivity. So, created this one to understand this better based on past experience. Thanks for the details. I will start from the details you provided and post them here If I could come to a conclusion.

I’m not really quite sure if it’s about SVG “in general” or perhaps just some specific types of SVG data and/or way given SVG image is included on site but what I could replicate for sure was:
with SVG images (which I actually “stole” from your site for testing only – already removed them) I could replicate the issue out of the box even with Twenty Twenty-Three theme active only and no Smush enabled at all and no other plugins. So it’s my understanding that in some way there is a related between that browser extension and SVG format directly.
It is, however, possible that there is something more involved and maybe even lazy load in some cases affects this but it doesn’t look to me like lazy load would be the main and only reason (if at all).
You mentioned that you are able to pin some of SVG images so it may be worth checking things like e.g. if they are included on page in the very same way (e.g. file vs inline SVG; img tag vs CSS vs inline CSS and so on) and also – if you can pin them each and every time you try or just sometimes.

Thanks for all these details. I tried this in a different installation with Lazy loading turned off. This is not specific to file types(SVG) or Lazy loading. Not able to pin some of the PNG images too. So, I guess this issue is not related to file types or lazy loading.
