# Pingback, Trackback not working

 * I have a problem with my wordpress blog. I’m having the blog for about half a
   year now and I’ve never received _any_ pingbacks, but there should be some because
   a few people linked to my posts. I allowed trackbacks and pingbacks in the general
   options and always make sure that the allowances per post are checked as well.
   
   I’m unsure about outgoing trackbacks, but I don’t think these work! This is the
   blog:[ ElephantasticVegan](http://www.elephantasticvegan.com) I’m using the blaskan
   theme. Does anyone have an idea? I would love to get this to work.

 * Thank you so much for trying to help me!
    What I forgot was to add that I’m using
   the newest wordpress version: 4.1. It’s really weird because I’ve never received
   any notification about links to my posts. A pingback should be in the wordpress
   notifications, right?

 * I’m sorry to report that after consulting with bluehost.com, I learned that they
   do not support pingbacks and trackbacks.

 * “Support” to a hosting company often means it’s possible to do, but they don’t
   provide troubleshooting, etc. In Bluehost’s case, they provide protection against
   trackback and pingback spam by default. If you go into your file manager, delete
   the file hosting_provider_filters.php and trackbacks/pingbacks will be allowed.
