ping list can’t be changed

When I go to Options/Writing/Update Services and enter a new ping list and then click Update Options, it goes to the blog itself or gets a page cannot be found error.

The result is the ping list cannot be changed.

I’ve built lots of blogs and have never had this problem before and am having this problem only on a new server I’m using.

Any ideas how to fix this?
