ping doesn’t seem to ping

    I have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/and http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping listed under Update Services, but when I search technorati, I don’t see my entries. I reloaded weblogs.com many times and didn’t see my blog appear there.

    When I make an entry, it publishes instantly, without the tiny lag usually experienced when I ping from other blogs.

    My theme is heavily edited. Was there some code on the page that was necessary to make the ping work? Are there any other settings I may have overlooked?

    I’m using the latest WP 1.5.1.3

    Pingomatic already pings Technorati. Since you are effectively pinging Technorati twice at the same time, you may be filtered out as “spam”. Please, use only http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ in your “Update Services” field. Try that for 24 hours and let us know if you see any improvements.
