Pie Register, causes error in wp-login.php with call function

    Plugin says

    Please put this code at the top of your wp-login.php otherwise the plugin won’t work properly.
    <?php
    session_start(); ?>

    I do so, then go to register and i get

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function phpsession_start() in /home/user/public_html/barriogirls/wp/wp-login.php on line 1
