Pictures, Thumbnails in Welcome page

    Hello,

    I read the documentation, searched the forum and other sources, tried some modifications but I still face a problem with the Colormag theme on my website (http://radiobxi.org) : I cannot display the thumbnails/pictures I published in the posts when they are displayed on the welcome page. Pictures are OK when viewing the entire post (like here : http://radiobxi.org/blog/logiciels-pour-nanovna-par-nt7s/).

    I used Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, it regenerates OK but still no display ;
    I tried using the Image format when writing a new post, but still no pictures.

    I’m using Jetpack and a bunch of other extensions (I did not try yet to shut them off to track down a compatibilty issue).

    It worked perfectly whith the Twenty Ten theme I used before.

    So, i really would like to use the Colormag Theme for my blog but without displaying thumbnails on the welcome page is a bit… clumsy 🙂

    Hello again,

    In the meantime, I deactivated all the extensions and… still no thumbnails on my homepage.

    And still no idea to solve the issue…

    Can you edit those posts and then, add the featured image for those posts and check once?

    Hello,

    When I edit those posts or when I create a new one, I don’t have any field named “featured image”. And in the screen options, I don’t have a check box related to the featured image to be displayed or not.

    After searching the web, I tried to display it by adding some code in the ‘functions.php’ file but I just broke the page 🙂 I’m not a coder, maybe this is the solution but I did something wrong…

    Hi,

    After some tweaking, I have now the featured image field. I selected a picture, but it goes above the article and not at the left like it was on the TWenty Ten theme I used. Pictures are too big for each post and it seems impossible to have a simple post with a 150×150 picture on the left and this, for all the articles published.

    I’m a bit disapointed because I will have to go back to my previous theme if I do noyt succeed to have Colormag behaving like I wish…

    I already have mae a Colormag child theme. If you have code example or a link for le to expore, it could be useful.

    I did again some tweaking 🙂 Now I have the thumbnails roughly like i want in term of size… But, how can I put them at the left of each post ? See my page to understand what I mean.

    We checked out your site and it seems image is aligned on left. Is your issue resolved? If not, can you specify what you want to achieve in detail with screenshot if possible?

    Hello,

    If you look again at my site, you will find the Twzenty Ten site like it was before I tested Colormag. I juste would like Colormag to behave like my present theme, last blogs articles on the homepage, an image croped at 150X150 aligned on the left of the texte. I was interested by the look of Colormag and the ability to have another presentation for the last of blog articles.

    But it seems too difficult to tweak Colormag to behave like I would like, so I give up for the moment and will try another theme.
