phpmyadmin password?

Hi,
I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but if anyone would be kind enough to answer I would appreciate it.

I downloaded xampp and when I click on admin for the mysql, I am taken to the phpmyadmin site and it asks for a password. I never entered a password. Now I’m stuck. Is there a way to reset it?
