 * Hi,
 * I am moving hosts, and need to transfer my wordpress sites.
 * I have exported the DB’s as .sql files, and have followed the wordpress documentation
   on this.
 * I havnt changed the db names, if I do will this affect my website from working
   when I transfer it over? or does it not reference the db name?
 * Thanks.
 * Rebecca

 * rebeccaireland,
 * The dn names don’t matter. I can stay the same.
    Note that u must change yout
   path. If ur useing localhost/website than change this 2 your new website url.
   for example [http://www.website.com](http://www.website.com)

 * Hi,
 * So at the moment, in the backed up version, its referencing ‘db89241_circled’.
   But if i try to import this .sql file it gives me the error “#1044 – Access denied
   for user ‘db131044_circled’@’%’ to database ‘db89241_circled'”.
 * the db I set up on my new hosting is called ‘db131044_circled’.
 * So should i replace this in the .sql file im replacing?
 * Sorry for all the questions, I just dont understand how my WordPress site is
   referencing my DB, and im concerned I might lose it all.
 * Thanks,
 * Rebecca

 * Rebecca,
 * No not only the name of the .sql database.
    Change the name in the database also.
   extract is using winzip an dan open it with dreamweaver or Notepad and in the
   top u must chnage the database username.
 * *always make a backup so that u don’t lose ur data.
 * Mvg,
    Avinash Bhageloe
