    I purchased the expansion pack and would like my footer to automatically update the year. In past projects, I have used the following code for the year:

    <?php echo date("Y") ?>

    Can you please indicate how to incorporate this code into the custom footer setting in Customizer (or explain an alternate method to implement this)?

    Thank you! 🙂

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @s3taco,

    thank you for choosing Bento!

    Due to security considerations and official wordpress.org requirements, all input fields in the theme Customizer, including the “Copyright message in the footer”, should sanitize user inputs; this implies that php code cannot be processed by such forms. You can insert the snippet manually into the footer.php theme file (preferably via a child theme), namely on line 26. Thanks for understanding!

    Phenomenal, thank you so much @satoristudio!

    Have a great weekend 🙂
