Support » Theme: Bento » php year echo in footer

  • Resolved s3taco

    I purchased the expansion pack and would like my footer to automatically update the year. In past projects, I have used the following code for the year:

    <?php echo date("Y") ?>

    Can you please indicate how to incorporate this code into the custom footer setting in Customizer (or explain an alternate method to implement this)?

    Thank you! 🙂

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @s3taco,

    thank you for choosing Bento!

    Due to security considerations and official requirements, all input fields in the theme Customizer, including the “Copyright message in the footer”, should sanitize user inputs; this implies that php code cannot be processed by such forms. You can insert the snippet manually into the footer.php theme file (preferably via a child theme), namely on line 26. Thanks for understanding!

    Phenomenal, thank you so much @satoristudio!

    Have a great weekend 🙂
