• Forgive me as I know this has been posted on several occasions, however I’m seeing that others problems don’t necessarily match up with my specific one. The problem is getting increasingly worse, my error logs are getting longer and longer. I’ve changed the IP and my domain name for privacy

    [Thu Aug 29 01:12:30.805378 2013] [:error] [pid 12906] [client XX.XXX.XX.XXX:38743] PHP Warning: is_readable() [function.is-readable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/wp-content/languages//en_US.mo) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/myuser/:/tmp:/var/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in /usr/home/myuser/domains/my-domain.com/public_html/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 339

    How do I repair this? Is it a permissions issue?

  • Have you tried the following troubleshooting tests:

    1) Disable all plugins. Does the error continue? If yes, go to step 2. If no, then there’s likely an issue with a plugin. Slowly reactivate your plugins one by one until the issue re-occurs. Identify the last plugin enabled and contact the plugin developer with the relevant information so they can (hopefully) fix the issue.
    2) Activate a WordPress theme (twentytwelve, twentythirteen). If the error goes away, then the issue is with your theme. Contact the theme developer with all the relevant information so they can (hopefully) fix the issue.

    If the error continues despite the troubleshooting steps above, note down your server configuration and let us know and we’ll go from there…

    Thank you for your reply, I will try those options. I should have mentioned my theme is sprachkonstrukt2
