    Hi,

Update v2.0.5.210102 triggered a critical error today as my PHP version was less than 7.2. The error was triggered by composer.

Reverted to v1.14.13.201103 as a temporary fix.

I do realise that the php version is old and the server is due for an update.

    Many thanks

The EU VAT Assistant and the Aelia Foundation Classes now require PHP 7.0 or newer. WooCommerce itself enforces that requirement since version 3.9. From our side, this has become necessary to be able to use the latest features and security enhancements. Our policy to support older PHP version hasn’t changed. PHP 5.6 was retired in January 2019, and we supported for an additional two years.

The requirement for PHP 7.2 was introduced by mistake, by a bundled library that the AFC includes. We spotted that library and downgraded it, so that the required PHP version is now 7.0, as originally intended. We will release an update for the EU VAT Assistant and the AFC shortly, so that they will work with PHP 7. PHP 5.6 and earlier will no longer be supported.

That was no bother at all. Thanks to you for using our EU VAT Assistant. 🙂
