# PHP version?

 * I am looking to upgrade the PHP version on my site, and wanted to know the latest
   that I can use with Chaplin. I am currently on 7.4; can I move into 8.x? What.
   x would that be? My host has up to 8.4 available.

   Yes, you can safely upgrade. I’ve tested the theme with **PHP 8.4**
   and **WordPress 6.8.2** (with debug enabled), and it runs smoothly without any
