 * I have a warning that I need to upgrade php. I did this with the prior version,
ran the php compatibility, and was unable to fix the compatibility problems as
the theme I am using is apparently no longer supported. You folks said to contact
the theme’s developer and I got no response from them. So…I have decided to switch
to a WordPress theme, figuring that you will be more likely to support them for
longer. Should I switch to the new theme first, and then upgrade the php? Or
   should I upgrade php first?
Corallary: if I upgrade php first, your documentation
suggests that I update the plugins first. I had updated plugins earlier this
month and then waited until yesterday to back up the public_html. Three indicate
they have yet another update. Is it really necessary to update those three first?
I’m not a coder so need hand-holding and simple instructions! =-)

 * Switch to the new theme first. Get it looking like you want. Make sure everything
is up to date. Take a backup of your site. Then have your host update PHP.

 * i’ll do that. Simple enough. Repeats the backup, but wanted to do that prior
to changing theme, so not a waste. Thanks for your help.
