    Hi,
    I want to use ditty news ticker into my theme header but it doesn’t allow shortcode so I added php code into the header template.

    <?php if(function_exists('ditty_news_ticker')){ditty_news_ticker(298);} ?>

    [Moderator note: code fixed. Please wrap code in the backtick character or use the code button.]

    The problem is that is shown on a new line respect to the other content, instead I want to show ditty immediately after the other exixting elements, without going to a new line

    The PHP direct function is the way to go if you want the ticker to show in your template files. The position/display of the ticker is something you’ll need to work out with custom css and possibly extra or modified html wrappers.

    The ticker itself is contained in a DIV which is a block element, but you can use css to position it differently. I can help you figure out the correct CSS, but I need to see the ticker running on your site to tell you what to add. Every theme is different and this requires custom css that fits your specific theme as well as the placement of where you’re putting the ticker.

    My site is still under maintenance but I can give you a test account credentials if you tell me where I can send them privately
    Thanks
