    Right so my problem is that I can't get the quote in the footer to just appear there when i place the content in the correct category named quote.

    "Getextra Customer Comments
    “Thank you Paul, I love my new website it is exactly what I had in mind.” Rick, http://www.rickabbottdesigns.co.uk"

    Here is a link to the one i want it to be like. Need to make it so it doesn't pull the post in the bit just above the footer aswell as you can see in the one below.

    I see the quote in the footer, is it the wrong quote?

    Don't use query_posts() in a secondary query/loop. That's for amending the MAIN query only. Use get_posts or WP_Query instead.

    No, you are perfectly right sir.

    My apologies didn't sleep well last night so my English is abit slow today.

    Basically I need it to just appear in the footer and not the one above.

    I'm not very experienced with PHP. Only just started directly editing it.

    What would be the next action for me to take to overide the current wp query?
