A day after upgrading my WordPress to the latest version my /wp-admin/ is now pulling out the fatal error

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 19136512) (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/USERNAME/public_html/wp-admin/includes/media.php on line 1233

I have a VPS and have never had this problem before I have even changed the amount of memory for PHP up to about 50MB even though it should be ok at 32MB. Does anyone know why this problem is happening and what media.php is?

I wish WordPress would address this in their help files, because it seems to be an ongoing issue for a lot of people. I have tried all of the reallocation options people mentioned, AND removed all plugins, and still got these errors.

(Plus, a lot of them say they tried to allocate LESS than what they say were allowed.)

People could just try searching the forum. There are enough posts on this.

@A2JC4life: Check Item 4 in that post.
