 * I am updating Custom Order Status using ‘$order->update_status’ but SMS is not
   send?
    is there any action that I have to include so SMS custom status will be
   triggered?

 * The only way to use a custom status is using one of third-party plugins supported.
 * There’s no way to trigger SMS manually.
