    WordPress 4.7.4 running Divi theme.
    Just received email from VaultPress:

    Suspicious Code

Our security scanners detected the following possible security issues. We recommend that you review the affected files.

    PHP.Generic.BadPattern.5

This code pattern is often used to run a very dangerous shell programs on your server. The code in these files needs to be reviewed, and possibly cleaned.

I have no idea what pattern there is “very dangerous” and “suspicious”. Unless the file is really changed in your installation (you can easily check that by comparing to the freshly downloaded copy), there is nothing tricky or harmful in the code.

VaultPress is known to flag the code used in millions of websites and code libraries. I’m talking about the Pimple Container.

Those automatic security tools are always lying. The more warnings you get from them the more you feel secured.

Thanks, then, I won’t sweat it.
This is the first warning that Vaultpress has given me in the year+ I’ve been using it.
I agree, too many warnings don’t bring any level of comfort either.
