 * Hey freesoul, I have about 12 of your files recently edited on the fly without
   an official upgrade release. Is this you or do I have a problem here?
 * Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/admin/eos-
   dp-ajax.php
    Type: File Issue Found August 12, 2021 8:14 am

 * Hi [@freq32](https://wordpress.org/support/users/freq32/)
 * do you mean that your security system (plugin or whatever) detected a change
   in the file wp-content/plugins/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/admin/eos-dp-ajax.
   php?
 * That file can be modified only if you modify it, or if you update the plugin.
   FDP itself doesn’t modify that file.
 * FDP modifies only these files:
    – The mu-plugin wp-content/mu-plugins/eos-deactivate-
   plugins.php when you activate or deactivate FDP. When you activate it, that file
   is written in wp-content/mu-plugins. When you deactivate it, that file is deleted.–
   The json files that are included in wp-content/uploads/FDP/fdp-single-options.
   These files are written when you save the Singles options and are deleted when
   you delete FDP.
 * No other files are written or modified by FDP.
 * I suggest you browse the code of FDP. Check the official content of that file.
   Here you will find all the versions: [https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/tags](https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/tags)
 * Here you will find the content of that file for the last official version: [https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/tags/1.8.8.7/admin/eos-dp-ajax.php](https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/tags/1.8.8.7/admin/eos-dp-ajax.php).

   Compare it with what you have now in your installation. You can use for example
   this tool: [https://www.diffchecker.com/](https://www.diffchecker.com/).
 * Do you maybe have a plugin to get the plugin versions that are not released?

   On the repository, there are 1.8.8.7.1 and 1.8.8.7.2, but the official version
   is 1.8.8.7. If you have a plugin to get the last not official version of other
   plugins maybe some files were updated for that reason.
 * I don’t know what’s going on. I can say for sure that FDP doesn’t modify its
   file wp-content/plugins/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/admin/eos-dp-ajax.php

 * Hi [@freq32](https://wordpress.org/support/users/freq32/)
 * have you done something on August 12, 2021 8:14 am?
    Have you updated Freesoul
   Deactivate Plugins via FTP? Have you maybe restored a backup? Do you remember
   that you did something?
 * In any case, the cause of this issue can’t be related to Freesoul Deactivate
   Plugins. There is nothing in the code that changes those files.

 * Hi [@freq32](https://wordpress.org/support/users/freq32/)
 * I will close this thread because I don’t think the issue was caused by FDP itself.

   But if you have any issues and think I can help don’t hesitate to open a new
   thread.

 * Yes you can close it. It’s likely a glitch or I’ve got a bug and I’m screwed..
   lol. nothing to do with your plugin. thanks Freesoul!
