PHP Fatal Error on Comment-Template

    Hi,

    I get this error:

    PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 21686001 bytes) wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1628

    I’m trying to figure out what’s causing the error. I’m running 1.6.3 version of the theme, WordPress 3.8.1 and BuddyPress 1.9.2.

    Any ideas of what could be causing this problem? It’s eating up my compute cycles.

    seem fine to me. try disable related post in theme option. maybe its causing the issue.

    Hi–I tried disabling the related posts but that doesn’t help. I’ve contacted my hosting company, which found this problem:

    “The comment template loads but when it posts, the function that grabs the information and clears it from the initial comment fields exceeds half a gigabyte of data (512Mb) which cause the fatal errors.”

    I run the theme on two websites and it causes a fatal error on each one. The fatal error has put me over on cc’s.

    recon manual download (not via dashboard) the latest version again.
    fresh install not overwrite (delete current msocolumn) and re-upload into wp-content/themes/
    clear any cache if had one installed like wp supercache or db cache etc..

    I did a fresh install and deleted the cache but still get the fatal errors.

    not sure, either its a hosting issue (php version) or any plugin causing this. try disable all plugin including buddypress.

    Hi,

    I just stopped using the theme’s Recent Comments widget. Could this be causing the problem?

    you mean the error gone after you delete the recent comment widget?
    the wp default recent comment or any plugin?
