# PHP Errors

 * Hi, love the plugin, but recently saw that my site was all sorts of wonky … after
   some investigation, turning on wp debug log I found this error:
 * `PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in /home/wrlrfm/
   web2.wrlr.fm/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/shortpixel-image-optimiser/class/front/
   img-to-picture-webp.php on line 74`
 * When I turn shortpixel off, site works beautifully. Turn it on, kills the site.
   I tried disabling and reenabling, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc.
