    Unsure if this issue is everywhere, but we are running into this error:

    [24-Aug-2021 08:41:05 America/Toronto] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘->’ (T_OBJECT_OPERATOR) in /plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/AlertFormatterFactory.php on line 39

    Thoughts?

    3) What version of the plugin, WordPress and PHP are you using?

    The more details you can give us the easier it will be for us to assist you.

    @robert681 Thank you for getting back to me.

    1) The plugin had been updated, and suddenly caused the site not to load.
    2) As soon as the plugin was installed
    3)
    – Plugin: Version 4.3.2
    – WordPress 4.9.1
    – PHP 5.6.40

    Hope this helps!

    The minimum supported PHP in the latest version of the plugin is 7.0. Quick fix would be to revert to a previous version of plugin.

    Hello @mstrykertbk

    Indeed, the version of PHP that you are using is causing the issue.

    However, from the security and also reliability point of view, I would not revert back the plugin version. I would update PHP. Version 5.6 is no longer supported by PHP. It’s end of life was 1st January 2019.

    I would recommend you to upgrade PHP to at least version 7.4.

    I hope the above helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
