PHP compatibility & performance issue!

    Hi, I was just testing PHP compatibility with PHP Compatibility Checker plugin and found that your plugin has some issues as below >

    FILE: /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-hide-security-enhancer/compatibility/a2-optimized.php

    FOUND 1 ERROR AFFECTING 1 LINE
    ————————————————————————————————————
    43 | ERROR | “$this” can no longer be used in a plain function or method since PHP 7.1.
    ————————————————————————————————————

    Also, in wp hive it shows this plugin is taking too much memory usage i.e. > Average memory usage is 516.14 KB.

    I hope you will solve these issues in future updates.

    And are you planning to support this plugin for 8.1 PHP version?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback. The notification issue will be fixed in the next plugin update.
    Regarding memory usage, this is really decent usage compared to other codes. Similar plugins require at least a few times more.
    Keep in mind that only the WordPress framework itself uses at least 15Mb. Considering the other popular plugins like WooCommerce, Elementor, SEO etc, the average memory consumption on a modern website requires a lot of memory. On average, these days a site runs on 512Mb hosting memory or more.
