 * hello,
 *     ```
       I have pro version (2.9) which is an old version of your plugin. I could not update to the latest version due to fees.

       The theme I use supports php 8 version.

       but when I activate php 8, no ads running through your plugin will work.

       I wonder if I have a problem because I have an old version?
       ```
 * Hi aga2442,
 * Thanks for reaching out.
 * Advanced Ads supports PHP 8 and you should be able to show ads in your theme.
   I recommend [starting with the basic plugin and a dummy ad](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/ads-not-showing-up/)
   to ensure the general ad injection is working as expected.
 * After this, I suggest activating and testing the Advanced Ads Pro add-on and
   it’s functionalities one by one to see what exactly is not working. Looking for
   error messages in your browsers’ console or PHP log files might help to understand
   what is not working in particular.
 * Due to the theme change, the elements on your website might also have changed.
   I recommend re-creating your previous placements, like the Custom Position placement
   or sidebars, if used, so it can work as expected.
 * Version 2.9 is about two years old by now, I might not say if there were changes
   on WordPress, PHP, and the add-on until now braking some functionalities. Following
   the steps above should give a better idea on what is not working exactly.
 * Kindly note that this forum is only for the support of the free Advanced Ads
   plugin, which is also hosted here. Questions about the paid add-ons can be addressed
   to our [customer support](https://wpadvancedads.com/support/).
 * Best regards,
    Henning
       thank you for the information.
       my website currently uses php 7 version and everything works fine.
       but when I activate php 8;
       All adsense ads will be active.
       There is no problem with the theme.
       the main problem is:
       On some special pages with the help of the advanced ads plugin; I'm using a shortcode of a different plugin. Example: slider plugin. or I use the theme's shortcodes for those who log in or not on some pages.
       When php 8 is active, the fields I activated with the shortcode method do not work.
       ```

 * Hi aga242,

 * Is this about the shortcodes injected with Advanced Ads or using the shortcode
   from the manual placement to create an ad spot?

 * I understand Advanced Ads does work with PHP 8 on your website, but on some positions,
   third-party elements injected with Advanced Ads are missing.
 * Please try a dummy ad on that exact position you are wanted to use the shortcodes.
   This way you can find out more about the origin of this issue.
 * If the dummy is showing, the problem would be with the third-party-plugins if
   the dummy is not showing, I recommend trying the general debugging steps suggested
   in the manual above.
 * Best regards,
    Henning
