 * I have all of the standard components but WP canot recognize that imagick is 
   installed
 * I am using PHP 8.1 which is the current version so it seems that WP is not able
   to recognize the new API calls properly

 * WordPress 5.8.x is not yet fully PHP 8.x compatible, most of that work is going
   into WordPress 5.9, which will be released in January.
 * The first beta for WordPress 5.9 is out now if you’d like to test it: [https://wordpress.org/news/2021/11/wordpress-5-9-beta-1/](https://wordpress.org/news/2021/11/wordpress-5-9-beta-1/)
 * Otherwise, I recommend sticking with PHP 7.4.x until WordPress 5.9 is fully released.

 * Seems that WP is falling behind a tad with the PHP developments
 * I guess 5.9 is only beta 1 so its not close to release yet
