PHP 7 compatability

My host currently defaults to PHP 5.6; however I note that WP Planet mentions the following regarding PHP 7: “Unrelated to SSL, Mullenweg also commented on the significant performance improvements in PHP7 and will consider whether hosting partners use PHP7 by default for new accounts in 2017”.

I installed WP Engine PHP Compatibility Checker plugin to see if there might be compatibility issues in switching to 7. It indicates that CC is “Possibly not PHP 7.0 compatible” with 9 warnings and 55 errors. While this does not indicate CC will not run under 7, it suggests there is more risk than I want to take in making the switch.

Does CC have a timeline for PHP 7 compatibility?
