• I’m seeing a weird issue with a WordPress site.

The server the account is on was upgraded to PHP 5.6 and suddenly the site started loading real slow. I noticed when running top on the server that the load shoots up and that there were a bunch of hits to the admin-ajax.php file on the account.

Downgrading the account back down to PHP 5.4 seems to resolve the problem.

    Anybody else seeing this?

Anybody know what might be the issue?

As far as I can tell, the site loads when on PHP 5.6, I’m not seeing any errors. It just loads slow, but that’s attributable to the high server load caused by the flood of admin-ajax.php hits
