 * Hi all,
 * I am using the Twenty Eleven theme for WordPress and am hosted through Bluehost.
   I received this from Bluehost recently:
 * “If you’re not certain of your sites compatibility with PHP 5.4, you can quickly
   and easily test it by changing your account to PHP 5.4 single using the outlined
   steps below. If, after changing your PHP version to 5.4 and your site looks normal
   and operates without any errors then your site is compatible. If you update to
   PHP 5.4 and you find your site showing errors or a blank white screen that is
   a good sign that something in your site is not compatible. Most commonly these
   are plug-ins or themes that need to be updated. Switch the PHP version back to
   5.2 and login to your admin panel and check for any available updates. If none
   are available you will need to check with the plug-ins/theme developer to see
   if they have compatibility with PHP 5.4.”
 * Following their instructions, when I change it to 5.4 and check my site, the
   dashboard is completely blank (the front-end of the site appears normal). I switch
   it back to 5.2 and it works fine. I tried deactivating every plug-in and it didn’t
   make a difference, so I’m wondering if it’s my theme or the version of WordPress
   I’m using.
 * I’m currently using the 1.5 version of Twenty Eleven — there is a 1.7 version
   available.
    I’m currently using the 3.3.1 version of WordPress — there is a 3.8
   version available.
 * But if I update these, I know I’ll have to make some adjustments because I changed
   some code without using a child theme (stupid on my part, I know).
 * Before I go ahead with the updates, I wanted to ask if anyone knows if one of
   these versions (either of WordPress or Twenty Eleven) is causing the problem —
   or if there’s another issue I may be overlooking.
 * Thanks in advance for any help!

 * Update on this issue:
 * I updated the version of WordPress I was using (from 3.3.1 to 3.8) and then I
   tried switching the PHP from 5.2 to 5.4 … and it all worked out fine. So I didn’t
   have to update the version of Twenty Eleven and lose the tweaks I’ve made to
   the theme over the last year.
