Phototile on newer albums – inconsistent

Hi. The plugin is great, especially the phototile option!
However, it does work great on some Google+ galleries which I had for a while. If I try to display a gallery that I just created/uploaded today, it seems that the parameters for tiles are re-calculated differently each time I reload the page (and I mean, quite dramatically differently), and what is worse, the tiles are misaligned (just on this new gallery).
The shortcodes look identical:
