• I had a website on wordpress.com and created a new one using my own domain. I would like the photos posted on the website to enlarge after clicking on them, as it was on the website on wordpress.com, but I don’t know what to do. I paste 1800 x 2700 px photos into the library. They appear on site reduced in size and cannot be enlarged. What is going on?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

This isn’t something the theme can control.

Perhaps this is what you are looking for:

Thanks for your answer but I think there is another problem. When I check pictures in the library I can see they are automatically scaled to size approx. 300 px. How to switch off this scaling? In the settings of my WordPress panel, I allow them to be bigger.

Does the same issue happen in a Twenty series WP theme?

Yes, the same. I simply put photos in the library and they are being scaled

If the same thing happens in Twenty series theme, it means it’s not theme related.

Try disable all your plugins to eliminate issues from plugins.

    Let me know.

After disabling all plugins it was the same: photos scaled after putting them into the library

    Hi there,

Can you explain a bit more about what you mean as scale?

To be sure if perhaps you were pertaining to the image sizes generated by default by WordPress core when you upload images. (By default, WP generates for atleast 4(5) sizes which are thumbnail, medium, large and full size. (5 if you count medium_large) )
