Every photo in each choices stays selected. So they add on top of each other. Why is that?
Yes that’s the basic idea of the plugin, to create a visual by superposing images to create one visual, a bit like layers in photoshop.
If you want only specific layers to be visible, a specific solution will need to be found for that. Probably the use of some CSS could work.

On a slightly different topic, I see that you use the conditional logic to hide the Models and Type choices.
It appears you have one Modell layer and one Typ layer, hiding the choices one by one.
For this type of setup, I would recommend having one Modell layer for each brand and one Typ layer for each model. This way it’s much easier to show/hide the relevant choices. Also as a consequence you wouldn’t have an empty Modell or empty Typ layers showing when nothing is selected yet.
