Photos disappeared, not visible

    Turned on my computer yesterday morning and none of the photos in adverts are visible. They are there but not visible. When I upload another photo it puts it there and it’s there and clickable like the rest, but not visible, they are not visible in the media library either only their name and extension like: 01.jpg.
    Thumbnails are invisible too. (not the description text)
    They are not visible when as an admin I open a single advert up in the editor.
    The photos are there, taking up the space, they are clickable, but invisible
    I can click on the invisible photo and opens the image, but again, it’s invisible. When I click on it to display full screen the circle just spins around and around without loading the image.
    Any ideas what can be the cause of this?
