• I’m not even sure if I titled that right but here goes.

I have a Photo of the Day category on my WP blog. I had the following request from someone:

Could you please make a thumbnail version of your photos of the day appear in my feed reader?

I would like to be able to do this. Any ideas? Is this something I could post on the blog so that anyone could “subscribe” to it?

    Thanks much.

  • Feeds are text.

You can put a link to your image in the feed, but it’d be up to the reader to retrieve/display the image.

I saw somewhere (I can’t find it now) that the feed can be altered to show the image in readers by default.

You can put an image for a channel, like a logo for the feed. But the items on the feed doesn’t has a tag for images.

For my usage, I’ve used the ‘flog’ namespace for my fotolog feed and be able to syndicate my fotolog at my WP blog.

You can see it at http://tenak.net/blog , and read about the format of the feed at http://flogfeed.tenak.net/

But as VaamYob says you before, the reader has to know about the URL of an image on the feed to show it.
