• Per your request, I am opening a support ticket so I can add a link (attached as “Page I need help with”, shown only to logged in users) to show an example of a page where Photonic is loading despite not being used on that page.

According to Asset CleanUp, this script is loading:
    /wp-content/plugins/photonic/include/scripts/admin/widget.js

I am currently running photonic Version 2.45, which came after the v2.21 that you linked to.

In addition to the js, the photonic css and photonic-widget css files are loading. Also, there is some hardcoded photonic css loading as well.

As mentioned in my review, now that I have Asset CleanUp the universal loading of Photonic is just a minor inconvenience to me. 🙂

On that note, I should mention two things. First, I believe that I have enabled css/js minify and combining site wide which might make analyzing that page a little tough.

Second, I will soon be unloaded Photonic site-wide, adding exceptions only where needed. This will occur about 8 hours from now, I hope that gives you enough time to look!

Question: Would there be any problem with deferring Photonic JS/CSS? I really, really wish that was automatic (built into this plugin).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for the details.

According to Asset CleanUp, this script is loading:
    /wp-content/plugins/photonic/include/scripts/admin/widget.js

Interestingly this is not coming from the front-end gallery, rather it is a back-end script that I needed for Elementor integration (Elementor integration came earlier this year, with 2.40). I might have hooked the script incorrectly to detect Elementor pages.

Obviously this is a bug – I will work to address this for the next release.

At this point I don’t have an ETA for the next release – I have been slammed at my day job, and the next release has some big foundational JS changes.

Hi – sorry, I missed including this in the last patch of the plugin, but I will put it in the next time for sure.

Bummer. But thank you for keeping on this! 🙂
