I cannot recommend this plugin more! FANTASTIC!

I already use Google Photos, so this plugin made it super easy to share albums on my website. If you’d like to see a live demo, here is how I am using it:

To make that link work, copy/paste the URL and replace “(DOT)” with “.”.

My only mild complaint is that once installed this plugin loads on every page, not just where you need it. And that will tank your PageSpeed/GTMetrix scores.

The solution is very simple. I used the Asset CleanUp plugin to unload it site-wide, then added exceptions to allow to load where needed. A bit of a pain, but well worth it!

Anyway, to the plugin’s author… huge, huge, HUGE thanks for this fantastic plugin! If you ever need a testimonial or whatever, feel free to reach out.

    Thank you for your feedback.

Actually this shouldn’t happen – Photonic is meant to be loaded only on pages where it is used. I had put this in place in early 2019. The one exception to this is the CSS file – this has more to do with getting caught in the crossfire of the W3 spec (CSS should not be included outside the head) and the way WP hooks for enqueuing work. Basically I need to determine if a shortcode is being used in the body before I can include the CSS… which automatically means that the CSS cannot be in the header.

If you have examples of where it has been happening, can you open a support ticket please? I will take a look at what is going wrong. If you look at the page I linked above, there is no JS included in that link – only CSS.
